Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Loosen the wheel nuts slightly.

    Raise the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported.

  3. Remove the rear wheel and tire (A) from rear hub.

    Tightening torque: 

    137.3 - 156.9 N.m (14.0 - 16.0 kgf.m, 101.3 - 115.7 lb-ft)

    NOTE:
    • Safely remove the wheel and tire (A) using the guide bolt included in the Tire Mobility Kit (TMK).

    • Be careful not to damage the hub bolts when removing the rear wheel and tire (A).

  4. Disconnect the EPB actuator connector (A).

  5. Remove the rear wheel guard.

    (Refer to Body - "REAR WHEEL GUARD ")

  6. Disconnect the rear wheel speed sensor connector (A).

  7. Loosen the bolt (A) and then remove the wiring bracket.

    Tightening torque: 

    8.8 - 13.7 N.m (0.9 - 1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 - 10.1 lb-ft)

  8. Loosen the bolt (A) and then remove the rear wheel speed sensor.

    Tightening torque: 

    8.8 - 13.7 N.m (0.9 - 1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 - 10.1 lb-ft)
