Injector (TBI): Remove/Install/Overhaul: Installation

Apply a thin coat of engine oil or gasoline to new upper and lower "O" rings. Install lower "O" ring to injector cavity and upper "O" ring to injector. Install injector.

1. Apply thin coat of fuel to new injector "O" rings. Install "O" rings on injector. Insert injector into throttle body. Carefully install wiring harness to injector.
2. Apply thread locking compound to mounting screws and install injector cover. Tighten screws to 17 INCH lbs. (2 N.m). Connect fuel feed pipe with new "O" ring. Tighten fuel feed pipe bolts to 71-106 INCH lbs. (8-12 N.m).
3. To check for fuel leaks, activate fuel pump. See BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES article. If no leaks, install air intake case.
