DTC 34 - Abnormal Signal From Cruise Control Switch: Notes
The CCM is controlled by the cruise control switch. The cruise control switch is actually a series of switches and resistors that the CCM passes a voltage through. By passing a constant voltage signal through the cruise control switch, CCM is able to determine the position of each switch and can sense if a switch is closed to ground.
NOTE:
Numbers below refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart.
- Checks for cruise on/off signal to CCM
- Checks for set/coast signal to CCM.
- Checks for an open in White/Black wire or open in junction block 2.
- Checks for open in Green/Black wire or White wire, open in SRS coil assembly, or faulty cruise control switch.
- Checks cruise control switch ground circuit.
- Checks for open in White/Blue wire or Red wire, open in SRS coil assembly, or faulty cruise control switch.
- Checks for resume/accelerate signal to CCM.
- Checks for cancel signal to CCM.
- Checks for faulty cruise control switch.
