Vehicle Speed Sensor

Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) is an electronic relay mounted on transaxle. As transaxle rotates the VSS, VSS provides speedometer with voltage pulses. The speedometer converts the vehicle speed input into a wave form and provides the ECM and cruise control module (if equipped) with its own vehicle speed input. This pulse is converted by ECM and interpreted as vehicle speed.
