Clearing DTCS
CAUTION:
To prevent damage to ECM, when clearing DTCs, ignition switch must be in LOCK position when disconnecting and connecting power to ECM.
Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Remove ECM power feed 15-amp TAIL fuse located in junction box under left side of instrument panel. If working in engine compartment remove 40-amp LAMP fuse located in underhood fuse/relay block (located on front of left inner fender panel). ECM power must be removed for at least 60 seconds. ECM DTC memory is now clear. Install TAIL fuse or 40-amp LAMP fuse. When 40-amp LAMP fuse is removed to clear ECM memory, clock and radio memory will also be erased. Use of 15-amp TAIL fuse to clear ECM memory is preferred so clock and radio memory is saved.
