Ignition Signal

PCM provides 5 volts to igniter. After processing this voltage, igniter returns it back to PCM as an ignition fail-safe signal. PCM also receives a 0.7 volt ignition signal during starter operation. PCM uses both of these signals along with others, to determine when to energize fuel injectors.
