Electrical Testing

  1. With ignition switch on, use a voltmeter to check for voltage at Black/Yellow wire terminal of fuel pump cut-off relay connector. The fuel pump relay is located on the fuse panel. If no voltage, check fuse and continuity of Black/Yellow wire.
  2. If voltage is available, check Blue wire at cut-off relay for battery voltage. If Blue wire does not show battery voltage, check it for continuity between connector and negative side of coil.
  3. Turn ignition switch off and disconnect relay connector. Attach jumper wire between the 2 Black/Yellow wires of connector and turn ignition switch on.
  4. If fuel pressure is now available, replace the cut-off relay. If no pressure is available, proceed to fuel pump operational testing.
