Ignition System - TOYO DENSO Electronic: Testing: IGNITOR
- Disconnect wire leads from ignitor. Turn ignition on. Check voltage between Blue wire terminal and ground. Also check voltage between Black/Yellow wire terminal and ground. Battery voltage should be present in both instances.
- Turn ignition off. Set ohmmeter to x100 range. Connect a jumper wire between Blue and Green ignitor terminals. With ignitor leads still disconnected, check continuity between ignitor terminals. See Fig 1.
- There should be no continuity with positive probe on Black/Yellow wire terminal. There should be continuity with positive probe on Blue wire terminal.
- Connect positive probe to blue wire terminal and negative probe to ignitor unit ground. There should be 50,000 ohms or greater at 70 degrees.
