Fuel Cut-Off System
- Start engine and warm-up to normal operating temperature. Ensure that engine idles smoothly. On vehicles equipped with manual transmission, disconnect vacuum hose from dashpot of throttle body. Use a stethoscope to confirm injector operation.
- While listening to an injector, increase engine to 3000 RPM then release throttle. Clicking of injectors should cease momentarily when throttle is released. If clicking does not cease, check ECU, throttle angle sensor, and wiring between injector and ECU.
