Air Control Valve A

  1. Disconnect upper vacuum hose No. 16 from air control valve A. Connect vacuum pump to hose. Connect vacuum pump to lower hose of air control valve. See Figure . Apply vacuum to lower hose. It should have a restricted leak.
  2. Apply vacuum to air control valve upper vacuum hose. With vacuum applied at upper hose, lower hose should not hold vacuum at all (unrestricted leak). If valve fails either check, replace valve.
