Tandem Valve Control Diaphragm (1.5L TBI)
- Check tandem valve shaft for binding or sticking. Check tandem by-pass valve for smooth movement. If any fault is found, clean linkage and shafts with carburetor cleaner.
- Disconnect vacuum hose from tandem valve control diaphragm, and connect vacuum pump to diaphragm. See Fig 1
. Apply vacuum, and ensure tandem valve lever moves and is in close contact with stopper when tandem valve is fully open. If any fault is found, replace tandem valve control diaphragm.
