Engine Mount Diaphragm Actuator Check

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1993 Honda Prelude, 1993 Honda Civic del Sol, 1993 Honda Civic, and 1993 Honda Accord. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Disconnect vacuum hose from solenoid valve. Clean and oil diaphragm actuator rod, rear mount rotor lever, and lever linkage. Using a hand-held vacuum pump, apply about 9 in. Hg to actuator diaphragm. See Fig 1 . Actuator rod should move smoothly and diaphragm should hold vacuum. Replace as necessary. If engine mount is okay, go to next step.
