Storing Transmitter Code

NOTE: Procedures must be performed within the stated time limits between steps. Up to 3 transmitters may be coded into system.
  1. Turn ignition on. Within 1-4 seconds, press transmitter LOCK/UNLOCK button with remote transmitter aimed/pointed at keyless entry/power door lock control unit. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS  . Within 1-4 seconds, turn ignition off. Repeat procedure twice, then go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition on. Within 4 seconds, press transmitter LOCK/UNLOCK with remote transmitter aimed/pointed at keyless entry/power door lock control unit. Confirm door lock actuators are operating, then go to next step.
  3. Within 8 seconds, aim the first transmitter at vehicle and press transmitter LOCK/UNLOCK button. Confirm door lock actuators are operating. Repeat procedure (within 8 second interval) for the other transmitters. Up to 3 remote transmitters can be programmed/coded. After programming/coding transmitters, go to next step.
  4. Turn ignition off. Remove key from ignition switch. Operate remote transmitters to confirm proper operation. Aim the second transmitter at vehicle and press transmitter LOCK/UNLOCK button. Confirm door locks operate with new transmitter code(s). Repeat step 1) if remote transmitters do not lock or unlock doors.
