Pre-Alignment Checks

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2006 Honda Insight, 2005 Honda Insight, 2004 Honda Insight, 2003 Honda Insight, and 2002 Honda Insight. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

For proper inspection and adjustment of the wheel alignment, do these checks:

Release the parking brake to avoid an incorrect measurement.
Make sure the suspension is not modified.
Check the tire size and cold tire pressures.
Tire size:
1. Front/Rear: P165/65R14 78S
Tire pressure:
1. Front: 260 kPa (2.6 kgf/cm ² , 38 psi), cold
2. Rear: 240 kPa (2.4 kgf/cm ² , 35 psi), cold
Check the runout of the wheels and tires.
Check the suspension ball joints. (Hold a wheel with your hands, and move it up and down and right and left to check for wobbling.)

Bounce the vehicle several times to stabilize the suspension.
