Turning Angle Inspection
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 6 other vehicles, including the 2006 Honda Insight, 2005 Honda Insight, 2004 Honda Insight, 2003 Honda Insight, and 2002 Honda Insight. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Use commercially available computerized four wheel alignment equipment to measure wheel alignment (caster, camber, toe, and turning angle). Follow the equipment manufacturer's instructions.
- Turn the steering wheel fully to the right and left while applying the brake, and check the turning angles of both front wheels. If the turning angle is not within the specification or the inward turning angles differ between the right and left side, go to step 2.
Turning angle:
- Inward: 40° 00 '+/-2 °
- Outward: 33° 00' (reference)
- Check the toe. If it is correct, but the turning angle is not within the specification, check for bent or damaged suspension components.
