Transmitter Test

NOTE: If doors unlock or lock with transmitter, but LED on transmitter fails to illuminate, transmitter is faulty. If any door is open, doors cannot be locked with transmitter. If doors are unlocked with transmitter, but not open within 30 seconds, doors will automatically relock. Doors will not lock or unlock with transmitter when key is in ignition switch.
  1. Place transmitter on Keyless Entry Checker (07MAJ-SP00300) and press transmitter button. If LED illuminates, transmitter is okay. If LED does not illuminate, go to next step.
  2. Check transmitter battery. If battery is okay, replace transmitter. If battery is weak or dead, replace battery. After battery is replaced, aim transmitter at keyless entry receiver unit and press transmitter button 6 times. Ensure sound of door lock actuators is heard on sixth press of button.
