Hood Latch Replacement: Replacement
- Remove the air guide plate cover, then remove the hood latch as shown.
- Install the latch in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Apply multipurpose grease to the hood latch.
- Make sure the hood opener cable is connected properly.
- Make sure the cable actuates the latch before you close the hood.
- Adjust the hood latch alignment (see step 3 onADJUSTMENT
).
- Make sure the hood locks securely.
- Check for damaged or stress-whitened clips, and replace them with new ones.
- Push the cover clips into place securely.
