Insight (Front & Rear)
- Secure steering wheel in straight ahead position. Check rear wheel toe-in. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS
. If rear toe-in is not within specification, check for bent or damaged suspension components. Replace faulty components. Recheck rear toe-in.
- Measure front toe-in. See WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS
. If adjustment is needed, loosen inner tie rod lock nut, then loosen outer tie rod lock nut while holding tie rod end. See Fig 1
.
- Loosen the inner lock nut while holding the tie-rod arm, and loosen the outer lock nut while holding the tie-rod end. Turn the adjusting bolt until the toe is correct. After adjusting, tighten the lock nuts while holding the tie-rod arm or tie-rod end. Make sure the arrow on the tie-rod arm and the aligning mark on the tie-rod end are in line, viewing from the wheelhouse side along the axial direction of the tie-rod, on both right and left side of the vehicle making sure the toe setting does not change.
