Keyless Transmitter Programming/Deleting - Manual Method: Notes
NOTE:
The keyless transmitter attaches to the ignition key and is separate from the immobilizer transponder. It is not necessary to use the HDS when replacing or deleting an existing transmitter.
- Adding a key (transponder) can only be done with the HDS. If the key being added has a new remote transmitter, it can be programmed with the HDS at the end of the "ADD A KEY" function (see REGISTRATION FOR IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM ).
- If one or all keys (transponder) are lost, the remote transmitters must be deleted manually. This will assure that all of the old keyless transmitters have been cleared from the immobilizer/keyless control unit memory.
- When replacing the immobilizer/keyless control unit, you must have all of the remote transmitters that need to be programmed to the car.
- The immobilizer/keyless control unit can only store 5 keyless transmitters.
- During programming, pushing the same remote button 5 times will delete all other remotes.
