Except LX model

  1. Remove the driver's airbag assembly (see DRIVER'S AIRBAG REPLACEMENT ).
  2. Remove the two screws and the cover (A) from the steering wheel.

  3. Remove the two screws from the radio remote switch (B).
  4. Disconnect the 4P connector from the radio remote switch.
  5. Measure the resistance between the No. 3 and No. 4 (with navigation system) or No. 1 (without navigation system) terminals in each switch position according to the table.
    POSITION RESISTANCE

    Position Resistance
    OFF About 10 k ohms
    MODE About 2.4 k ohms
    CH About 900 ohms
    (VOL UP) About 300 ohms
    (VOL. DOWN) About 50 ohms
  6. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the remote switch.
