Cylinder Head

Torque in sequence 29 Nm (3.0 kgf-m, 22 lbf-ft)





Tighten additional 130°





Head Bolt

Measure the diameter of each cylinder head bolt at point A and point B.




If either diameter is less than 10.6 mm (0.42 in.), replace the cylinder head bolt.


Surface Variation

Standard (New) 0.07 mm (0.0028 in.)

Service Limit 0.08 mm (0.0031 in.)

Warpage less than 0.08 mm (0.0031 in.) no resurfacing

Warpage is between 0.08 mm (0.0031 in.) to 0.2 mm (0.008 in.) resurface




Max. resurface limit 0.2 mm (0.008 in.)
based on a height of 120 mm (4.72 in.).


Intake Manifold




Install the intake manifold assembly (A) and tighten the bolts/nuts in a crisscross pattern in two or three steps, beginning with the inner bolt. Use a new gasket (B).

Camshaft Bearing Cap




Apply new engine oil to the bolt threads and flange. Tighten each bolt two turns at a time in sequence.
