ODS Unit Replacement

Removal

1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure, Procedures then wait at least 3 minutes before starting work.

2. Remove the front passenger's seat assembly and seat-back cover/pad.

3. Disconnect the ODS unit 18P connector (A) and the OPDS sensor connectors (B) from the ODS unit (C).

4. Remove the two screws (D) and the ODS unit.






Installation

1. Place the ODS unit (A) on the seat-back frame. Tighten the two screws (B), and connect the ODS unit harness 18P connector (C) and the OPDS sensor connectors (D) to the ODS unit.

2. Install the seat-back cover/pad in the reverse order of removal.

3. Install the seat assembly.

5. Clear any DTCs. Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

6. Set the seat-back in the normal position, and make sure there is nothing on or under the front passenger's seat.

7. Initialize the ODS unit.

8. After installing the ODS unit, confirm proper system operation: Turn the ignition switch to ON (II); the SRS indicator should come on for about 6 seconds and then go off.
