The power tailgate can be opened and closed automatically from the driver's power tailgate switch (located on the driver's side of the dashboard), or by using the keyless transmitter, which will only close the tailgate. The power tailgate has two safety functions for safeguarding passengers: obstruction detection, and fall-down detection.
