Front Mode Control Motor Replacement: Installation

Release the lock (A), then remove the motor lever (B) from the mode control motor (C).
NOTE: Before installing the front mode control motor, plug in the 7P connector, and set the HVAC control mode to VENT. Check that the motor output shaft is lined up as indicated (D).

Align the position of the damper lever pins (A), then install the motor lever (B).

Make sure the damper lever pins in the motor lever are visible through the holes.

Install the front mode control motor (A) while holding the motor lever (B), then connect the 7P connector (C).

Install the headlight leveling control unit (see HEADLIGHT LEVELING CONTROL UNIT INPUT TEST/REPLACEMENT ).
After installation, make sure the motor runs smoothly.
