Fuel Tank Unit Removal/Installation: Removal

  1. Relieve the fuel pressure (see FUEL PRESSURE RELIEVING  ).
  2. Remove the second row seat (see SECOND ROW SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  3. Pull the carpet (A) back out of way.

  4. Remove the access panel (A) from the floor.

  5. Disconnect the fuel tank unit 4P connector (B).
  6. Disconnect the quick-connect fitting (C) from the fuel tank unit.
  7. Using the fuel sender wrench, loosen the locknut (A).

  8. Remove the locknut (A), the locknut plate (B), and the fuel tank unit (C).
