Interface Dial Removal/Installation

NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the dashboard and related parts.
- Lay a shop towel under the parts when working on them to protect the face panel from scratches or other damage.
- Remove these items:
- Center middle panel (see INSTRUMENT VISOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Passenger's middle panel (see PASSENGER'S MIDDLE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Center panel (see PASSENGER'S MIDDLE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Center lower console (see RADIO POCKET REMOVAL/INSTALLATION )
- Remove the audio-navigation unit (see step 2 ).
- Remove the screw and the harness cover (A).
- Disconnect the interface dial connector (B).
- Remove the screws, then pull up the interface dial (A) a little with KTC trim tool as shown until the click sound is heard.
- Pull the interface dial slowly and steadily by hand until the knob (C) and dial (D) pops off.
- Install the interface dial in the reverse order of removal.NOTE: If the hard buttons do not work, but the jog dial does, recheck the interface dial connector connection.
