Start-Up Procedure and Diagnostic Menu
WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2017 Honda Odyssey, 2016 Honda Odyssey, 2015 Honda Odyssey, 2014 Honda Odyssey, and 2013 Honda Odyssey. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
There are two ways to enter the diagnostic mode:
Mode 1:
Start the vehicle, and at the disclaimer screen use the navigation hard buttons:
Press and hold the MAP/GUIDE, DEST/ROUTE, and CANCEL, buttons for about 3 seconds. The display screen goes directly to the Select Diagnosis Items menu shown.
- Self-Diagnosis Mode (runs the automatic diagnosis of the navigation system)
- Detail Information & Setting (Can help you to manually diagnose the navigation system)
Mode 2:
Start the vehicle. When the globe screen appears, connect the SCS service connector (see FORCED STARTING OF THE AUDIO-NAVIGATION UNIT ) to the navigation service check connector located by passenger's dash. The screen changes to the System Links screen, and automatically begins running the self diagnosis. See the System Links Service Information for more information.
NOTE:
When finished troubleshooting, make sure to remove the SCS service connector.
