Security Hood Switch Test

Open the hood.
Disconnect the 2P connector (A) from the security hood switch (B).

Check for continuity between the terminals.
- There should be continuity between the terminals No. 1 and No. 2 when the hood is opened (lever released).
- There should be no continuity between the terminals No. 1 and No. 2 when the hood is closed (lever pushed down).
If the continuity is not as specified, replace the hood latch assembly (see HOOD LATCH REPLACEMENT ).
