Ignition Key Switch Test

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations (see COMPONENT LOCATION INDEX ), and the precautions and procedures (see PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES ), before doing repairs or servicing.

  1. Remove the steering column upper and lower covers (see REMOVAL ).
  2. Disconnect the 6P connector.

  3. Check for continuity between the terminals in each switch position according to the table.

  4. If the continuity is not as specified, replace the steering lock (see STEERING LOCK REPLACEMENT ).
