Voice Control Switch Test

  1. Remove the steering wheel
  2. Remove the voice control switch (see STEERING WHEEL DISASSEMBLY/REASSEMBLY ).
  3. Measure the resistance between terminals No. 2 and No. 4 in each switch position according to the table below.

    VOICE CONTROL SWITCH REFERENCE TABLE

    Position Resistance
    No buttons pressed About 10 kΩ
    Talk button pressed About 2.2 kΩ
    Back button pressed About 660 Ω

  4. If the resistance is not as specified, replace the voice control switch (see STEERING WHEEL DISASSEMBLY/REASSEMBLY ).
