Audio Unit Button Does Not Work

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2011 Honda Pilot, 2010 Honda Pilot, and 2009 Honda Pilot. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: In order to troubleshoot the main power switch, go to AUDIO UNIT POWER SWITCH WILL NOT TURN ON (NO INFORMATION DISPLAY AND NO SOUND)  .
  1. Go to the audio button, knob, and remote switch detection mode in the audio self-diagnostic function (see SELF-DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTION  ).
  2. Push all of audio unit buttons and rotate volume dial to right and left. Check if the button/dial value is displayed.

Do all the buttons belong to switch?

YES  - Operation is normal. There is a possibility of doing an improper operation. ■

NO  - Substitute a known-good audio unit (see AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  ), and recheck. If the symptom/indicated goes away, replace the original audio unit. ■
