DTC P0764:  Shift Solenoid Valve C Intermittent

General Description 

The transmission control module (TCM) monitors the vehicle condition during the vehicle is in OFF (LOCK) mode to determine whether it is possible to start the engine by the remote engine start. If the vehicle is turned to OFF (LOCK) mode from the condition when the vehicle is in auto idle stop for a specified duration, a DTC is stored.

Enable Conditions 

Condition
Vehicle	Auto idle stop

Malfunction Threshold 

The vehicle is turned to OFF (LOCK) mode from the condition when the vehicle is in auto idle stop for 5 minutes or more.

Confirmation Procedure 

Operating Condition 

Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode after the vehicle is in auto idle stop condition for at least 5 minutes.

With the HDS 

None.

Diagnosis Details 

Conditions for setting the DTC 

When a malfunction is detected, a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the TCM memory. The MIL does not come on.

Conditions for clearing the DTC 

The Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command.
