The motor control module controls the generator motor by detecting the rotor position angle using the generator motor rotor position sensor. The motor control module detects zero point offset to improve torque accuracy and generator motor efficiency. When the zero point offset detection value is out of a permissible range, the motor control module in the power control unit (PCU) detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
