The power control unit (PCU) controls the motor output based on the generator phase current sensor signals. If the generator phase W current sensor offset voltage is out of a specified range when the sensor input current is 0 A, the motor control module in the PCU detects a malfunction of the generator phase current sensor and stores a DTC.
