DTC B1645(Keyless Access Control Unit): Inspection

EXT_FR_DR+, EXT_FR_DR- Shorted Wire Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
  • Body control module connector C (66P): disconnected
  • Left-front LF antenna/initiator connector (2P): disconnected
• Procedure
  • Perform the inspection according to the following chart.

			(Disconnected) Body control module connector C (66P) female terminals
		IG Mode	Courtesy of HONDA, U.S.A., INC.	Normal Conditions
	EXT_FR_DR+, EXT_FR_DR- shorted wire to wire inspection	OFF		There is more than 1 MOhms
	Refer to the Open/Shorted Wire Inspection Description for the method to inspect the shorted circuit below, then start to inspect according to circumstances.
	EXT_FR_DR+ shorted to power inspection	ON		Not shorted
	EXT_FR_DR- shorted to power inspection	ON		Not shorted
	EXT_FR_DR+ shorted to ground inspection	OFF		There is more than 1 MOhms
	EXT_FR_DR- shorted to ground inspection	OFF		There is more than 1 MOhms

Results 

• If abnormal, there is a problem in the circuit.

Body Control Module Inspection 

Preconditions 

NOTE:  This procedure can be done before any other inspections are completed because this test procedure includes all of the following inspection items. However, if this test fails, it will be necessary to continue with each inspection item individually to determine which item failed.

• External circuit is normal

Test Procedure 

• Preparation
  • Body control module connector C (66P): connected
  • Left-front LF antenna/initiator connector (2P): disconnected
• Procedure
  • Perform the inspection according to the following chart.

			(Disconnected) Left-front LF antenna/initiator connector (2P) female terminals
		IG Mode	Courtesy of HONDA, U.S.A., INC.	Normal Conditions
	Module internal circuit inspection	ON*1		Voltage

*1: If the matter whether the vehicle mode ON or OFF (LOCK) because of the permanent power supply.

Results 

• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the body control module.

Left-Front LF Antenna/Initiator Inspection 

Test Procedure 

• If the other inspection item(s) indicated a normal condition, then it is determined that the remaining left-front LF antenna/initiator is the cause.

Results 

• There is a problem with the left-front LF antenna/initiator.
