How to use this service information .

1. Tailpipe Emissions - Test

   Preconditions 

   • Engine Warmed Up
     NOTE:

     Warm up the engine by raising the engine speed around 3,000 rpm until the cooling fan(s) comes on.

   • Idle Speed Normal Condition 
   • HDS Connected 
   • Following No Load Conditions
     1. -

        Headlights OFF

     2. -

        Blower Fan OFF

     3. -

        Rear Window Defogger OFF

     4. -

        Air Conditioner OFF

     5. -

        Radiator Fan OFF

   Procedure/Specifications 

   1. Warm up and calibrate the CO meter according to the meter manufacturer's instructions.

   2. Keep idling under no load conditions, then check idle CO.

   Specifications 

   Condition	Standard Value
   At Idling Speed (No Load)	CO	Less than 0.1 %

   Result 

   • If you are unable to obtain the specified reading; see DTC troubleshooting - Refer to: How to Troubleshoot the CVT System or How to Troubleshoot the Fuel and Emissions Systems . In addition, check for aftermarket parts that are installed. Retest the vehicle once the vehicle is returned to its factory built condition.
