DTC Troubleshooting: U128D (Relay Control Module): Notes

DTC U128D  : Relay control module lost communication with gauge control module(VSP/NE frame)

NOTICE:  

Before you troubleshoot, review the How to Troubleshoot .

NOTE: 

• If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A - Refer to: Body Electrical Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A - Initial Communication and DTC Checks () or Body Electrical Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode B - Control Unit Not Communicating () or Body Electrical Troubleshooting - B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode 1 and Test Mode 2 (without the HDS) () .
• DTC may be stored if gauge control module does not start normally.
• DTC may be stored due to the power/ground circuit failure of the gauge control module. Before this troubleshooting, check the power/ground circuit of the gauge control module first.
