Fuel Pressure Regulator: Installation

  1. Install back-up ring, "O" ring, fuel pressure regulator filter and remaining "O" ring onto the fuel pressure regulator. Lubricate fuel pressure regulator "O" rings with clean engine oil. Install fuel pressure regulator.
  2. Install NEW fuel pressure regulator retainer. Connect fuel pressure regulator vacuum line. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.
  3. Turn ignition switch to ON position for 2 seconds. Turn ignition switch to OFF position for 10 seconds. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Check for fuel leaks. Repair as necessary. Tighten intake manifold sight shield bolt and intake manifold sight shield retainer bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
