Thermostat Opening Temperatures
Thermostat Starts To Open 188°F (87°C)
Thermostat Fully Open 206°F (97°C)
(1) Add about 0.4 Qts. (0.3L) if equipped with manual transmission.
(2) Add about 1.5 Qts. (1.4L) if equipped with 5.3L and optional Air Conditioning.
(3) Subtract about 0.4 Qts. (0.3L) if equipped with optional engine oil cooler.
(4) Or every 60 months, whichever comes first. Use GM Goodwrench DEX-COOL®.
