Removal & Installation

Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove TRUNK TRIM PANELS. See TRUNK TRIM PANELS . Remove bay board fasteners and pull bay board away from body. Place bay board module side up in trunk. Disconnect harness connections from Rear Integration Module (RIM). Remove fasteners retaining module to bay board and remove RIM.

NOTE: Before replacing Rear Integration Module (RIM), record personalization settings to transfer to new module.
  1. Push in and up on front of rear seat cushion. Lift seat cushion up and out to remove.
  2. Remove rear seat belt buckle anchor bolts. Insert a flat-bladed tool between top of rear seat back and rear shelf trim panel. See Fig 1. Push down on flat bladed tool to release rear seat back retainers. Release four retainers and pull seat back away from cross car beam. Position rear shoulder belts to clear rear seat back. Remove rear seat back. Move rear seat back insulator aside.
  3. Remove push pin retainers (1). Disconnect RIM harness connectors (3) and remove RIM (2). See Fig 2.
  4. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure seat cushion locator tabs are inserted into wire loops on bottom of rear seat back. Tighten rear seat belt anchor fasteners to 32 ft. Lbs. (41 N.m). Program RIM. See REAR INTEGRATION MODULE  under PROGRAMMING.
