Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure (Single Battery) .
    2. Fig 2: Forward Lamp Wiring Harness Ground/Negative Cable Bolt

  2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle with safety stands. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  3. Remove the engine protection shield. Refer to Engine Protection Shield Replacement in Frame and Underbody.
  4. Remove the forward lamp wiring harness ground/negative cable bolt.
  5. Remove the engine wiring harness ground/negative cable bolt.
  6. Remove the negative battery cable.
