Installation Procedure

  1. Position the air cleaner assembly into the engine compartment, inserting the snorkel (2) into the fender (1).
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the 2 bolts (3) and nut (5) securing the air cleaner assembly to the wheel house (4).

    Tighten: 

    • Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
    • Tighten the nut to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).

  3. Connect the air cleaner outlet duct to the air cleaner assembly.

    Tighten:  Tighten the clamp to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  4. Connect the AIR pump inlet hose quick connect fitting to the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  5. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the MAF/IAT sensor.
