Installation Procedure

Clean the sealing surfaces of the BPMV and the EBCM.
Install the EBCM (1) to the BPMV (2) while carefully aligning the internal pump motor connector (3).

Install the EBCM screws (1).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten the EBCM screws in the sequence shown (1-4).
Tighten: Tighten the screws to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

Connect the EBCM electrical connector (1).
Rotate the locking lever (2) rearward.
Ensure the electrical connector and locking lever are fully engaged into the EBCM (3).
Position the washer solvent container and install the fasteners. Refer to Windshield Washer Solvent Container Replacement (w/CE4) or Windshield Washer Solvent Container Replacement (w/o CE4) .
Install the front air deflector shield. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement .
Lower the vehicle.
Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
If installing a new EBCM, program the EBCM. Refer to Control Module References .
Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle .
