Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Isuzu i-370, 2008 Isuzu i-290, 2008 GMC Canyon, and 2008 Chevrolet Colorado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the TCS accessory switch.
- Test for less than 1.0 ohm of resistance between the ground circuit terminal H and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Install a 3A fused jumper wire between the signal circuit terminal J and ground. Verify the scan tool EBCM TCS switch parameter is On.
- If not the specified value, test the signal circuit for a short to open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the TCS switch.
- Reconnect the harness connector, Ignition ON, verify the scan tool EBCM TCS Data parameter, operate the switch On/Off.
- If not the specified value, replace the TCS switch.
- If all the circuits test normal, test or replace the BCM.
