WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Cadillac STS. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
IMPORTANT: Verify the auxiliary audio or video input device is operating normally before performing this diagnostic.
  1. Inspect the TV antenna grid for damage and that each of the TV antennas are connected.
    • If damage is found, replace the rear glass.
  2. Ignition OFF, disconnect the antenna coaxial cable from the TV antenna module.
  3. Verify there is less than 3.5 ohms between each of the TV antenna end coaxial cable center conductor and the TV antenna amplifier end coaxial cable center conductor.
    • If greater than specified value, replace the TV antenna coaxial cable.
  4. Test each of the following circuits for an open, short to ground, or a short to voltage.
    • The video red signal circuits
    • The video green signal circuits
    • The video blue signal circuits
    • The video synchronization signal circuits
    • The audio left circuit
    • The audio right circuit
    • The audio common circuit
    • If an open, short to ground, or a short to voltage is found repair the suspect circuit.
  5. If all circuits test normal replace the TV antenna module.
