Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Isuzu i-370, 2008 Isuzu i-290, 2008 GMC Canyon, and 2008 Chevrolet Colorado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the radiator.
  2. Install the condenser to the radiator.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  4. Install the bolts retaining the condenser to the radiator.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).

  5. Install the grille.
  6. Install the radiator mount bracket.
  7. Install the radiator mounting bracket bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 28 N.m (21 lb ft).

  8. Raise the vehicle.

  10. Install the radiator outlet hose (1) to the radiator.
  11. Using J 38185  reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp (2) to the radiator. See Special Tools .

  13. Connect the transmission cooler lines to the radiator. Refer to Transmission Fluid Cooler Hose/Pipe Quick-Connect Fitting Disconnection and Connection .
  14. Lower the vehicle.
  15. Install the radiator vent inlet hose to the radiator.
  16. Install the fan shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement (2.9L, 3.7L) .
