Auxiliary Body Control Module Scan Tool Information

Auxiliary Body Control Module

Parameter System State Expected Value Description
Operating Conditions:  Ignition in the ON position, bright light applied to the ambient light sensor, park brake not set, headlamp switch in the OFF position, dome lamp switch in the OFF position, fog lamp switch in the OFF position, all doors closed, and trailer harness disconnected.
Battery Voltage - Varies The scan tool displays Volts. This is the battery voltage input to the auxiliary BCM.
Inclination Sensor Status - Off The scan tool displays Off, Awake, Valid, Active, Invalid. This is the state of the inclination sensor.
Rear Fog Lamp Relay Cmd. - Off The scan tool displays ON/OFF. When the rear fog lamp switch is placed in the ON position and rear fog lamp relay activation is requested, the scan tool will display ON.
Rear Fog Lamp Switch - Inactive The scan tool displays Inactive/Active. When the rear fog lamp switch is placed in the ON position, the scan tool will display Active.
Trailer Left Bulb Out Signal - 0 Counts The scan tool displays counts. When the XBCM detects that a trailer is connected and that a left trailer bulb is inoperative, the scan tool will display 0 counts. When the XBCM detects that a trailer is connected and that a left trailer bulb is operative, the scan tool will display 255 counts.
Trailer Right Bulb Out Signal - 0 Counts The scan tool displays counts. When the XBCM detects that a trailer is connected and that a right trailer bulb is inoperative, the scan tool will display 0 counts. When the XBCM detects that a trailer is connected and that a right trailer bulb is operative, the scan tool will display 255 counts.
Trailer Detection Input - Off The scan tool displays ON/OFF. When a trailer is connected to the vehicle and a voltage signal is received through the trailer harness to the XBCM, the scan tool will display ON.
Trailer Fog Lamp Relay Cmd. - Off The scan tool displays ON/OFF. When the rear fog lamp switch is placed in the ON position and trailer rear fog lamp relay activation is requested, the scan tool will display ON.
Auxiliary Body Control Module Scan Tool Output Controls

Output Control Additional Menu Selections Description
Rear Fog Lamps Output Controls The auxiliary body control module activates the rear fog lamps when you select ON. The rear fog lamps illuminate until commanded OFF.
Trailer Fog Lamps Output Controls The auxiliary body control module activates the trailer fog lamps circuit when you select ON. The trailer fog lamps circuit remains energized until commanded OFF.
