WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 GMC Sierra and 2007 Chevrolet Silverado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
IMPORTANT:
Diagnose any ABS related DTCs before attempting this diagnostic.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the EBCM harness connector and X4 radio harness connector.
- Test for less than 1 volt between the EBCM harness connector appropriate terminal and radio harness connector X4 terminal 5.
- Terminal 28 (10 Series without JL4)
- Terminal 14 (20/30 Series without JL4)
- Terminal 11 (10 Series With JL4)
- Terminal 32 (20/30 Series With JL4)
- If greater than specified value repair short to voltage.
- Test for infinite resistance between the radio harness connector X4 terminal 5 and ground.
- If less than specified value repair short to ground.
- Test for less than 1 ohm between the EBCM harness connector appropriate terminal and radio harness connector X4 terminal 5.
- If greater than specified value repair open circuit.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the EBCM.
