Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 GMC Canyon and 2010 Chevrolet Colorado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  1. If replacing the receiver, install the receiver to the mounting bracket and install the retaining nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nuts to 3 N.m (26 lb in).

  3. Position the receiver to the I/P.
  4. Connect the receiver electrical connectors.
  5. Install the CPA (2) to the electrical connector.

  7. Install the receiver to the I/P.

  9. Install the screws retaining the digital radio receiver to the I/P structure.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

  11. Close the service panel located above the I/P compartment door.
  12. Install the I/P compartment door. Refer to Instrument Panel Compartment Door Replacement .
  13. Install the I/P access cover.
  14. Perform the setup procedure for the digital radio receiver. Refer to Control Module References .
