Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 GMC Canyon and 2010 Chevrolet Colorado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the yaw/lateral accelerometer sensor.
  2. Test for less than 1 Ω of resistance between the low reference circuit terminal 1 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified range, test for an open/high resistance in the low reference circuit.
  3. Ignition ON, test for ignition voltage between the ignition circuit terminal 4 and the low reference circuit terminal 1.
    • If not the specified value, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
  4. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the EBCM.
  5. If all circuits test normal, replace the yaw/lateral accelerometer sensor. If DTC resets replace the EBCM.
